DEPARTED THE CONTINENTAL U.S. ON NOVEMBER 30, 1943 BOUND FOR THE PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS. ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH COMPANY 'F', 186TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 41ST ‘JUNGLEERS’ INFANTRY DIVISION IN THE NEW GUINEA CAMPAIGN.
