SELECTED FOR THE AIR CORPS, COMPLETED BASIC TRAINING AND QUALIFIED IN THE MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY OF MARINE ENGINEER (080). SERVED STATESIDE WITH SQUADRON H, 460TH ARMY AIR FORCES BASE UNIT (BASE SERVICES, AIR TRANSPORT COMMAND), HAMILTON FIELD, SAN RAFAEL, CALIFORNIA. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A SERGEANT ON DECEMBER 3, 1945 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, SCOTT FIELD.
