Activity During WWII

Almost fatally wounded on battleship on December 2, 1947. Awarded the Navy Cross for extraordinary valor under fire. Returned to active duty in late 1942. Fought in the Battle of Okinawa, 1944. Continued exemplary for 30 years in Naval career. After war was Chief Operations Officer in Caribbean Sea in 1960 and died in 1968.
