ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED STATESIDE WITH THE 119TH CHEMICAL WARFARE SERVICE COMPANY. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A PRIVATE ON JUNE 13, 1947 AT THE VALLEY FORGE GENERAL HOSPITAL, PHOENIXVILLE, PENNSYLVANIA.
