WITH 6 MONTHS AND 12 DAYS PRIOR ARMY SERVICE, ENLISTED IN THE REGULAR ARMY AND ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE ON DECEMBER 14, 1945. WITH THE MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY OF AUTO MECHANIC (014), ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH SERVICE BATTERY, 39TH FIELD ARTILLERY BATTALION, IN THE AMERICAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A TECHNICIAN FOURTH GRADE ON NOVEMBER 26, 1946 AT THE SEPARATION POINT, CAMP CAMPBELL, KENTUCKY. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
