Activity During WWII

Trained in Anti-Aircraft Artillery 90mm at Fort Eustis, Virginia. Became battery clerk in the office of Battery C, 603rd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion at Camp Stewart, Georgia. Later transferred to Los Angeles, California to protect aircraft industry from possible invasion. Transferred to Western Defense Command 4th Army Office, San Francisco, California, split and became 9th Army Headquarters. Served in European Theater of Operations in England, France, Belgium and Germany until victory in Europe. Entered service June 1944; discharged October 1945.
