SERVED ABROAD IN THE ASIATIC-PACIFIC AREA FORM JULY 1, 1945 TO AUGUST 9, 1946. PARTICIPATED IN THE OCCUPATION OF JAPAN FROM SEPTEMBER 25, 1945 TO JULY 7, 1946. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A CORPORAL ON AUGUST 14, 1946 AT THE MARINE SEPARATION CENTER, GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL, WWII VICTORY MEDAL, AND THE MARINE VERSION OF THE NAVY OCCUPATION SERVICE MEDAL (JAPAN).
