STATIONED AT OR SERVED ABOARD, IN TURN, RECEIVING STATION, PUGET SOUND NAVY YARD, BREMERTON, WASHINGTON; THE BATTLESHIP USS SOUTH DAKOTA BB-57 (ENGAGED AGAINST THE ENEMY IN THE PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS); RECEIVING STATION, PUGET SOUND NAVY YARD, BREMERTON, WASHINGTON; AND U.S. NAVAL CONVALESCENCE HOSPITAL, SUN VALLEY, IDAHO. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A FIREMAN SECOND CLASS ON FEBRUARY 26, 1945 AT LAST STATION. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH UNKNOWN NUMBER OF BRONZE BATTLE STARS, AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
