COMPLETED BOOT CAMP AT NAVAL TRAINING STATION, GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS, AND ATTENDED THE 16 WEEK ELECTRICIAN’S MATE SERVICE SCHOOL AT NAVAL TRAINING STATION, SAINT LOUIS, MISSOURI. ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED ABOARD THE NAVAHO CLASS FLEET OCEAN TUG USS HITCHITI ATF-103. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS AN ELECTRICIAN’S MATE THIRD CLASS ON JANUARY 1, 1946 AT THE NAVAL PERSONNEL SEPARATION CENTER, GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH 2 BRONZE BATTLE STARS, WWII VICTORY MEDAL, AND THE PHILIPPINE LIBERATION MEDAL.
