PRIVATE FIRST CLASS. SERVICED IN THE MILITARY POLICE RIGHT AFTER THE U.S. FORCES OCCUPIED JAPAN AT NAGASAKI. PRIOR TO THIS, HE WAS ASSIGNED TO THE SEA COAST ARTILLERY, LONG TOMS. WHEN THE WAR ENDED HE WAS STATIONED ON SAIPAN AS A FORWARD OBSERVER IN THE 2ND MARINE DIVISION.
