COMPLETED BOOT CAMP AT NAVAL TRAINING CENTER, GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS, AND ADDITIONAL TRAINING AT (NAVAL) ARMED GUARD TRAINING CENTER, LITTLE CREEK, VIRGINIA. STATIONED, IN TURN, AT ARMED GUARD CENTER, BROOKLYN, NEW YORK; ARMED GUARD CENTER, NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA; AND ARMED GUARD SCHOOL, NORFOLK, VIRGINIA. SERVED ABOARD THE SS GLENPOOL, SS JOSEPH STANTON, SS GEORGE HANDLEY, AND THE SS CROSSKEWS. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A GUNNER’S MATE THIRD CLASS ON OCTOBER 26, 1945 AT THE NAVAL PERSONNEL SEPARATION CENTER, LIDO BEACH, LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
