SELECTED FOR THE INFANTRY, COMPLETED BASIC TRAINING, AND QUALIFIED IN THE MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY OF HEAVY MORTAR CREWMAN (1607). ASSIGNED TO COMPANY C, 6TH BATTALION, ARMY REPLACEMENT TRAINING CENTER. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AFTER WAR’S END AS A PRIVATE ON DECEMBER 19, 1945 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, FORT SHERIDAN, ILLINOIS. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
