ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH SQUADRON A, 1260TH ARMY AIR FORCES BASE UNIT (NORTH AFRICAN DIVISION, AIR TRANSPORT COMMAND), AT EL AOUINA, TUNISIA. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A SERGEANT ON FEBRUARY 17, 1946 AT THE SEPARATION CENTER, JEFFERSON BARRACKS, MISSOURI. EARNED THE GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
