SELECTED FOR THE QUARTERMASTER CORPS, COMPLETED BASIC TRAINING, AND QUALIFIED IN THE MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY OF DUTY NON COMMISSIONED OFFICER (566). ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH THE 55TH QUARTERMASTER TRAINING COMPANY, 9136TH TSU, QUARTERMASTER CORPS, CAMP LEE, VIRGINIA. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A CORPORAL TO ENLIST IN THE REGULAR ARMY ON JULY 8, 1946 AT SAME STATION. RE-ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE THE NEXT DAY. ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED WITH HEADQUARTERS COMPANY, AFS. HONORABLY DISCHARGED FROM THE REGULAR ARMY AS A SERGEANT ON AUGUST 8, 1947 AT THE SEPARATION POINT, FORT SHERIDAN, ILLINOIS.
