Activity During WWII

IN 1941 WHEN THE PHILIPPINE ISLANDS WERE STILL A COMMONWEALTH TERRITORY OF THE U.S., WAS DRAFTED INTO THE WAR. CAPTURED IN MAY 1942 AND MADE TO ENDURE THE BATAAN DEATH MARCH. AFTER RELEASE FROM JAPANESE REDUCTION CAMPS, HID UNDERGROUND UNTIL OCTOBER 1944. WAS DISCOVERED AND SENT BY THE U.S. ARMED FORCES INTELLIGENCE OFFICERS TO AUSTRALIA, VIA MINDANAO. EVENTUALLY MADE A TRIP TO TEXAS AND LATER TO ENID, OKLAHOMA TO TRAIN TO BECOME A MITCHELL B-25 BOMBER PILOT. HONORABLY DISCHARGED IN 1945 AFTER THE SURRENDER OF JAPAN WITH THE RANK OF 2ND LIEUTENANT.
