ENTERED THE SERVICE IN MARCH, 1942 AND COMPLETED 106 SORTIES OVER ENEMY TERRITORY IN A LIGHT PLANE AS AN OBSERVER. AWARDED THE AIR MEDAL WITH 3 OAK LEAF CLUSTERS PRIOR TO BEING KILLED IN ACTION NOVEMBER, 1944 WHILE IN FRANCE DURING A RECONNAISSANCE MISSION.
