Activity During WWII

Served in active U.S. Army January 4, 1937 through October 31, 1967. During WWII was a pioneer member of first Parachute Battalion, 501 at Fort Benning and Panama. Also served in Headquarters Airborne Command and the Parachute School until end of WWII. Awards and decorations include Legion of Merit, Army Commendation Medal with 4 Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and numerous theatre of operations medals and service medals. Also WWII Service Medal.
