Activity During WWII

Company G, 104th Infantry regiment, 26th Infantry Division. Landed in Cherbourg, Northern France, during invasion. Fought through Central France. Wounded between Nancy and Metz, France. Sent to hospital in England. From there, back to original Company G outfit. In the Battle of the Bulge. Fought with Company G across the Rhine River into Germany, Austria, Czechoslovakia. Met the Russians. War was over in Europe and was awarded Combat Infantryman Badge, Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart. Sent back through Marseilles, France, to the United States.
