Mess Sergeant for the 315th Bomber Wing, 20th Air Force in the South Pacific Theater of Operations. He served on Saipan, Guam on North Field, and briefly on Tinian, from 14 April 1945 to 9 November 1945. His unit was assigned Air Operations against Japan and the Eastern Mandates. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Exemplary Service during his assignment on Guam. He was Discharged Honorably on 2 December 1945 at Fort Macarthur, California. He Knew the Crew of the ENOLA GAY.
