Rank: Private. He was inducted into the United States Army September 8, 1942 at Pueblo, Colorado. Following his Basic Military training and infantry training, he was deployed to the Pacific Theater of Operations. He served as a Rifleman, assigned to the 106th Infantry Regiment and an element of the Twenty-Seventh Infantry Division, attached to the U.S. Tenth Army. His division participated in the Battle-of-Eniwetok Atoll, Marshall Islands Campaign. On Saturday, February 19, 1944 he was reported missing in action, after a combat engagement against the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces. In remembrance of the brave, his name is permanently inscribed in the tablets of the missing, memorialized at Honolulu Memorial Location: Honolulu, Hawaii. In his Memory and Honor, this American Patriot was awarded the Purple Heart posthumously, for his Heroism and ultimate sacrifice.
