He worked at Sanderson and Poters, the world's largest ordnance plant in Will County, Illinois, near Chicago. Manufactured various sizes of shells, landmines and bombs of all sizes up to blockbuster. An Ordnance Machinist, in Ordnance Production of fuses and boosters. At the war's end, worked 1 year renovating and moth-balling. A box-car of land mines blew up near a building, killed many people and created a very deep crater for 1-square block. Not known if it was sabotaged. Now retired from Naval Missile Test Center at Port Mugu, California. Was in Charge of Rocket Test Facility.
