COMPLETED BASIC TRAINING, QUALIFIED IN THE MILITARY OCCUPATIONAL SPECIALTY OF LIGHT TRUCK DRIVER (MOS 345), AND ASSIGNED TO COMPANY A, 78TH ENGINEER COMBAT BATTALION. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A TECHNICIAN FIFTH GRADE ON AUGUST 26, 1947 AT FORT BENNING, GEORGIA. EARNED THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL FOR SERVICE DURING THE PERIOD OF ELIGIBILITY.
