HE WAS IN THE 17TH AIRBORNE, 680th Glider Field Artillery Battalion, and also the 82nd AIRBORNE at the end of the war. He was in the Battle of the Bulge and received the Purple heart for injuries. His unit advanced all the way to Berlin.
