Active duty as 2nd Lieutenant. U.S. Army Reserves, August 15, 1941. Infantry, October. Transferred to Quartermaster Corps because of civilian experience, to Quartermaster Corps Anniston, Alabama November 1941. Sent to Quartermaster Corps Little Rock, Arkansas, made 1st Lieutenant, February. Transferred to Quartermaster Corps Memphis, Tennessee. Officer in charge as Captain, August 1944 to Quartermaster Corps Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Officer Training Corps (OTC) December 1944 to European Theatre of Operations, special missions. Back to U.S. December 1945 as Lieutenant Colonel.
