ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED ABOARD, IN TURN, THE SOUTH DAKOTA-CLASS BATTLESHIP USS INDIANA BB-58 (COMMANDER BATTLESHIPS PACIFIC FLAGSHIP); NORTH CAROLINA-CLASS BATTLESHIP USS WASHINGTON BB-56 (COMMANDER BATTLESHIPS PACIFIC FLAGSHIP); AND ALASKA-CLASS LARGE CRUISER USS GUAM CB-2. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A SEAMAN FIRST CLASS ON FEBRUARY 20, 1946 AT THE NAVAL PERSONNEL SEPARATION CENTER, GREAT LAKES, ILLINOIS. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL WITH 9 STARS, WWII VICTORY MEDAL, AND THE PHILIPPINE LIBERATION MEDAL WITH 2 STARS.
