Enlisted in December 1941 after Pearl Harbor. Squadron Clerk then graduated from Officer Candidate School (OCS) as an officer in Aviation Ordnance and later went overseas in the Antilles Air command to Puerto Rico. Served as Auto Maintenance and Repair officer and Aviation Ordnance Officer. Remained in the Reserves for 5 years after December 1945 separated from active duty. Honorably discharged.
