Served from 1942-1946. VMSB-142, Marine Air Group 11 and VMS-241, Marine Air Group 12 of the 1st Air Wing. Served on Guadalcanal Island and later on North Luzon, at D-Day +12, Zamboanga in the Philippine Islands. After the Japanese surrender, they were sent to China, where he served as Tower Control Operator.
