SERVED IN THE EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS ASSIGNED TO THE U.S. ARMY, 41ST INFANTRY BATTALION, 2ND ARMORED ‘HELL ON WHEELS’ DIVISION. KILLED IN ACTION SUNDAY, JANUARY 7, 1945 IN THE ARDENNES FOREST IN THE VICINITY OF HOUFFALIZE, BELGIUM, BATTLE OF THE BULGE CAMPAIGN. AWARDED THE PURPLE HEART MEDAL.
