SERGEANT IN 881ST SQUADRON, HE WAS THE RADAR OPERATOR OF 'Z SQUARE 2'. THE PLANE WAS LOST WITH ITS CREW AFTER BOMBING THE MUSASHINO AIRCRAFT FACTORY NEAR TOKYO ON NOVEMBER 27, 1944. IT HAD BEEN FORCED TO DITCH AFTER BATTLE DAMAGE HAD CAUSED IT TO RUN LOW ON FUEL.
