RANK: PRIVATE. SERVED IN THE EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS ASSIGNED TO THE 180TH INFANTRY REGIMENT, 45TH INFANTRY ‘THUNDERBIRD’ DIVISION, U.S. 5TH ARMY. KILLED IN ACTION SUNDAY, MAY 7, 1944 DURING THE ANZIO CAMPAIGN. HE IS BURIED IN THE SICILY-ROME AMERICAN CEMETERY LOCATED AT NETTUNO, ITALY. AWARDED THE PURPLE HEART MEDAL.
