RANK: PRIVATE. INDUCTED INTO THE U.S. ARMY OCTOBER 5, 1943 AT NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK. SERVED IN THE EUROPEAN THEATER OF OPERATIONS ASSIGNED TO THE 141ST INFANTRY ‘ALAMO’ REGIMENT, 36TH INFANTRY ‘ARROWHEAD’ DIVISION. KILLED IN ACTION MONDAY, DECEMBER 18, 1944 IN THE VICINITY OF ALSACE, FRANCE DURING THE BATTLE OF THE COLMAR POCKET. HE IS BURIED IN THE EPINAL AMERICAN CEMETERY LOCATED AT EPINAL (VOSGES), FRANCE. AWARDED THE PURPLE HEART MEDAL WITH A BRONZE OAK LEAF CLUSTER.
