Activity During WWII

General Patton left us at Breast, France to clean out a pocket. We went in, one Company. Germans let us in after fighting 5 days at night. Next day Germans jumped on us; kill a lot, but took us in -- we were prisoners 30 days after we were shipped to the front. I lost a leg in the Huertgen Forrest. I was lucky I came home.
