Activity During WWII

Served from 1941 with Massachusetts 26th Infantry Yankee Division in the U.S. and was later transferred to infantry officer, 157th Infantry, 45th Division. Active in England, France and Germany. Recognized by the U.S. at the holocaust museum dedication for service in Dachau (prison camp) in Germany, and also by the Dutch government when he was given the Erasmus medal for participating in the liberation of Dachau. Received Bronze Star, Purple Heart and Combat Infantryman Badge.
