As an Ensign, served on the destroyer USS McCormick. Commanding Officer of a patrol craft which I took through Panama Canal. Was an Instructor in California in anti-submarine duty. Had command of fleet salvage and rescue tug and took her through the Panama Canal and did two invasions of Borneo plus many smaller actions in the South Pacific.
