AMERICAN CITIZEN WHO HELD THE CIVILIAN RANK OF FIRST OFFICER AND SERVED AS A PILOT IN THE BRITISH AIR TRANSPORT AUXILIARY FERRYING WARPLANES FROM FACTORIES TO AIRFIELDS THROUGHOUT THE UNITED KINGDOM. KILLED ON ACTIVE SERVICE AT THE AGE OF 28 WHEN HIS AVRO ANSON MK 1 (NK773) COLLIDED WITH ANOTHER AIRCRAFT AND CRASHED NEAR ROYAL AIR FORCE STATION, HULLAVINGTON, NORTH WILTSHIRE, ENGLAND ON JULY 8, 1944. BURIED AT ALL SAINTS CEMETERY, MAIDENHEAD, BERKSHIRE, ENGLAND.
