Fought against and killed Germans as a foot soldier in England, France and all of Europe. Fought at the Bridge of Remagen, freed prisoners at Dachau with the 3rd Battalion, 310th Infantry Regiment, 78th Lightning Division. Received a Purple Heart for injuries and was awarded the Bronze Star.
