SPENT 2 1/2 years in Hyde Park, NEW YORK as a member (Sergeant) of the Presidential Grand which was detailed to guard President Roosevelt, his family and home. Overseas, HE guarded military installations, patrolled cities, drove 1 1/2 and 2 1/2 ton trucks hauling personnel/supplies and directed traffic in Philippines as part of the 801st MILITARY POLICE Battalion.
