Activity During WWII

Entered service at outset of WWII. Sent to the South Pacific in 1942 with the 419th Signal Corps; Buna-Gona and Lae Campaigns. Served in Headquarters of the 5th Air Force under General George C. Kenny. Later, served under General Douglas MacArthur in the Far East Headquarters. Remained in the Air Force and served several years at the Pentagon. In the 1960's he was a member of a task force sent by President Kennedy to evaluate problems in Southeast Asia.
