Activity During WWII

Served in the U.S. Navy, 1941-1951. As a result of his plan, he was a Navy pilot who helped to save over 200 servicemen in Operation Rescue. Men were trapped in the Ralik Chain of Islands by the Kwajalein Atoll. He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for this. He was a survivor of the USS Arizona BB-39.
