Activity During WWII

Private First Class; MARCH 11, 1944-OCTOBER 30, 1945. Completed basic training at Camp Roberts, CALIFORNIA. He served with the 185th Infantry Brigade of California's 40th Infantry 'Sunshine' Division during the retaking of the Philippine Islands. He participated in the following WWII engagements: Bismark-Archipelago Campaign; Luzon Campaign; and Southern Philippine Campaign. He was awarded the following medals for his service: Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal; Philippine Liberation Medal; American Theater Medal; WWII Victory Medal; 2 Purple Heart MEDALS; 3 Presidential Unit Citations; 3 Bronze Stars with 3 Arrowheads; Combat Infantryman Badge; Good Conduct Medal and received an Honorable Discharge.
