Amphibious assault training for assault on Japan. Combat in Ruhr Valley pocket. Combat from Bamberg Germany into Czechoslovakia, pulled back to 25 miles south of Bamberg, back into combat and into Czechoslovakia to within 4 km of Prague on V-E day. Then sent to Japan for occupation duty via U.S. Army.
