KILLED IN ACTION AT THE AGE OF 21 WHILE ATTACHED TO NO. 17 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE (FAR EAST) WHEN HIS BATTLE DAMAGED HAWKER HURRICANE MK IIA CRASHED INTO THE SITTAUNG RIVER EAST OF RANGOON, BURMA ON MARCH 3, 1942. COMMEMORATED ON COLUMN 420 AT THE SINGAPORE MEMORIAL, KRANJI WAR CEMETERY, SINGAPORE.
