PILOT. SERVED IN BURMA IN 1944, FLYING L-5 PLANES TO EVACUATE THE WOUNDED, SCOUT THE ENEMY, AND ACT AS AN ARTILLERY SPOTTER. ON OCCASION, HE WAS GENERAL JOSEPH STILWELL'S PILOT. AIR MEDAL WITH OAK LEAF CLUSTER AND BATTLE STAR. IN THE U.S. DURING THE WAR, HE WAS A PILOT INSTRUCTOR. HE ALSO FERRIED BOMBERS TO THE EAST AND WEST COAST.
