Activity During WWII

Entered service in January, 1945, age 18. Basic Training at Naval Station of the Great Lakes, in Michigan City, Indiana for primary radio school, Monterey, California for more radio school, and Washington, D.C. at Naval Research Lab to finish radio school. Responsible for everything to do with electronic tubes used in the radar and sonar and to keep them working. Shipped out December, 1945 on amphibious fleet out of Little Creek, Virginia. Sailed to Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Bermuda and Cuba. Received an honorable discharge July 20, 1946.
