Was at the entrance to Pearl Harbor at Fort Weaver, camped in tents on December 7, 1941. Spent 1942 and 1943 in the war in the Pacific. Received two Bronze Stars and many ribbons. 97th Anti- Aircraft Artillery. Was first to see enemy as they passed overhead to get to Battle Ship Row.
