Activity During WWII

He Entered service on 21 November 1943. Received training at Camp Croft, South Carolina and Camp Meade, Maryland. Assigned to the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division. During the Normandy Campaign, he was reported Missing In Action 30 September 1944. Captured by the Germany Army and taken to Work Camps 3324-46 Krumbachstrasse 48011 and Work Camp 3368 Munich 48-11. He died 20 October 1944 as a Prisoner of War, Stalag VII-A, Moosburg, Bavaria, Germany. Originally buried at the Lorraine American Cemetery in St Avold, France, he was later reinterred at Mount Zion Cemetery, Fairmont, West Virginia.
