Activity During WWII

Served from August 1942 to December 1945 as a sergeant in the 303rd air drone squadron, 5th Air Force, Pacific theater of Operations, New Guinea, southern Philippine Islands, Luzon. He was a crew chief on B-17 aircraft, hanger chief and airplane mechanic having worked on engines, electrical and fuselage structure. Fought on Milne Bay, Finchhafen, gusilpa, white beach, hollandia and Tommy, New Guinea, wake island, dulog Latoy, San Hosea Mindora, subic bay, Luzon, Clark field, Luzon, and occupation troops in Seoul, Korea. Recipient of the American campaign, WWII victory with bronze arrowhead, philippine liberation ribbon with one bronze star, Asiatic-Pacific campaign medal with two bronze stars, and mechanic badge and Marksmans 30 caliber carbine.
