Entered Army in November 1941; trained in Camp Roberts, California and Fort Lewis, Washington. Went overseas, September 1942. Served in Hawaii, Saipan, Tinian, the Philippines and Okinawa. Awarded Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon with three Battle Stars and Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one Battle Star. Radio Operator, voice and code in Pacific Theatre. Discharged, November 1945.
