Activity During WWII

He enlisted in June, 1944. He was initially assigned to the Military Intelligence Service (MIS). Utilizing his expertise in Japanese language and culture, he participated in collection, analysis and dissemination of intelligence to the Pacific Forces. Following V-E Day he was transferred to France and Germany, providing transport and supply support to occupation troops until his discharge in June, 1946.
