Activity During WWII

Enlisted in the Navy February 16, 1942 at the age of 21. His basic training was served in Great Lakes, Illinois. He served on the USS Livermore DD-429, which was a Destroyer. Served a Mediterranean and South Atlantic Tour. He was a Fire Controlman, 2nd Class. Received the Good Conduct Medal. He was extended a V-12 Program at Yale University in Connecticut where he became an Electrical Engineer major until his discharge. Discharge was on December 12, 1945 at Lido Beach, Long Island, New York at the age of 24.
